Explanation

Plasma is ejected from solar corona to planetary space with 10-1000 km/s velocity. Let's see this phenomenon by numerical simulation.

[Initial Condition]

Assuming that hot plasma with magnetic fields is ejected from solar surface into the region with constant density and no magnetic field, we will follow succeeding evolution.

In the figure, color shows density, arrows show velocity, and lines show magnetic field lines.

[Evolved Stage]

Magnetic field is ejected from the solar surface to corona and propagates to planetary space with contact discontinuity and shock wave. Its structure is devided into 3 parts including outer isotrope space. It is spherical flow inside of the contact discontinuity where pressure is in equilibrium but densities are different. Between the contact discontinuity and shock front, a flow of compressed shell from isotrope region is formed.
