                Asian Winter School on Numerical Astrophysics

                      Final Circular (Mar.6, 2006)

This is a final announcement of Sokendai Asian Winter School on
Numerical Astrophysics.

(1) Program:
We have updated our web pages on the program of the school. Web page of
the school contains useful information, such as, ground transportation
from Narita Airport to Chiba Station and Chiba University, maps of Chiba
University. (http://th.nao.ac.jp/winter_school/astro.html)

(2) Textbook:
We have uploaded pdf files of textbook of the school:

We will hand a printed textbook at the registration desk of the school.
Since timetable of lectures is so tight as you see, we recommend all the
participants to read the textbook before the school.

(3) Registration Desk:
Registration desk is located at 5th Floor of Chiba University General
Studies Complex Bldg-A.  We will open the registration desk at 10:00am
on Mar 13 (Mon)

(4) Lodging:
For all participants outside of Japan, we have booked hotel rooms around
Chiba station and have sent e-mails concerning the location of hotel
which we use (Hotel Sun City Chiba). If you have not received it yet,
please let us know as soon as possible.  Room charge for a single room
per one night will be 5,800 JYen with light breakfast.  Restaurants for
dinner will be found around the hotel.

Domestic participants who will stay in a lodge of Chiba University must
have received an e-mail from the organizer confirming your stay.  You
will receive your room key at the registration desk in exchange of the
room charge.  Other participants must arrange your hotel by yourself.

(5) Ground Transportation
(a) Narita Airport to Chiba Station (Hotel)
Please take the JR Narita line rapid service (the name of the train is
"airport Narita"). It leaves Narita airport once an hour. The express
(Narita Express) usually does not stop at Chiba station.

(b) Chiba Staion to Chiba University
Use the JR sobu line *local*.  Nishi-Chiba station, the closest station
to the campus is just a station ride from Chiba, which takes 3 minutes.
The university is right in front of the north gate of Nishi-Chiba station.

(6) Support:
For the foreign participants who asked travel support, travel support
will cover your room charge of hotel, airfare, round trip between Narita
and Chiba, and miscellaneous expenses for living. The support money will
be handed at the registration desk on March 13 in Japanese yen. Please
pay for your room charge from this to the hotel at your check-out.

(7) Welcome Party:
We have a welcome party in the evening of the first day, March 13
(3,000JYen).  We welcome all the participants of our school especially
who come from outside of Japan.  Isn't it a good idea to use a small
part of the travel support to join the party?  Although we called it a
beer party, soft drink is also provided.

(8) Contact
Local organizers can be reached by telephone 043-290-3522 (Center for
Frontier Science, Chiba University).  And please show them you are a
participant of the winter school.The office hour is 9:00-16:00 on 
Mon.-Fri.  You can receive fax from your family and colleagues through 
043-290-3523 during your stay at Chiba.
